- 1. What was highlighted for you in the weekend sermon?
- 2. For Simon, his lay net was what gave him his identity as a fisherman. What would you say is your lay net(s)?
- 3. Has there ever been a time that your lay net has let you down? How so?
- 4. How has Jesus show up in those times when your lay net let you down? What were your responses to Jesus in those times?
- 5. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun !” (NLT) How is this truth a reality in your life?
- 6. Peter writes this in 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (NLT). Reflect upon and discuss this truth.
