Like Kobe needed Phil Jackson, Rocky needed Mick, and Spiderman needed Iron Man, heroes face obstacles so great and challenges so overwhelming they need the wisdom of a mentor to overcome. The same is true in the Spiritual life. In our series we are introduced to living in the “God-I-You.” This is radically different from how anyone–even Christians–typically live. When God shows up, He leads us to “The Sage.” These are humble fellow pilgrims on the same journey toward deep intimacy with God and others.
Ohana Group: Is there an area in my life where I could use a “sage” to help me know God’s plan and guidance? How do I connect with such people? How do I identify such a sage?
