Key Passage: Exodus 16:23-30
God set the seventh day apart and made it Holy. He didn’t create a holy place, He set apart a holy space. We don’t need to travel anywhere to experience God’s Presence, we simply have to create space, set it aside as holy, and be with God. In scripture, there were those who kept the Sabbath and set it apart as a holy day of worship, and those who profaned it and treated it like any other day. All of us will worship someone or something and we all become like that which we worship. Who do we worship? What we worship will determine our values, our community and our identity.
