When Mary and Joseph present Jesus at the temple, Simeon, a devout man, recognizes Him as the promised Messiah who will bring peace to the world.
Simeon’s proclamation that Jesus is “a light for revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel” embodies the peace and reconciliation that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, brings to all humanity.
