H: 1/11/20: “20/20 DISCONTENT”

It will take more than inspiration to see our God Vision through to the end. It will take strong conviction to endure. How does this happen? Often the pathway to strong conviction is a “holy discontent” about how things are. Even if our future is unclear, we have 20/20 certainty that the way things are should not be!

Key Verse: Nehemiah 1:3 – 4 They said to me, “Things are not going well for those who returned to the province of Judah. They are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Je- rusalem has been torn down, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.” 4 When I heard this, I sat down and wept. In fact, for days I mourned, fasted, and prayed to the God of heaven.” & Nehemiah 2:18 “ Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king. They replied at once, “Yes, let’s rebuild the wall!” So they began the good work.”

Face to Face 4: Get Rid of It
Let’s face it, all of us have reservations when it comes to giving. What if I need this later?
What if I don’t have enough? What difference will my contribution make? What we see
in scripture is that Jesus isn’t concerned with the quantity of our giving but the quality of
our giving. Watch as an unnamed child’s “Face to face” encounter with Jesus leads to a
small sacrifice that becomes one of the greatest miracles ever known.
