Pastor Mike Palompo

Michael M. Palompo is the founder and senior pastor of New Hope Central Oahu on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii established on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1999.  NHCO was historically the first of many church plants from New Hope Oahu under Pastor Wayne Cordeiro.  Mike is a proud graduate of the Radford High School bicentennial class of 1976 where he was student council president. He has a BA in Psychology from California State University– San Francisco, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude.  He has a Master’s degree (Spiritual Transformation concentration) from Regent College in Vancouver, BC, (where he studied under Eugene Peterson, J.I. Packer, and Gordon Fee).  And he has a Doctor of Ministry degree in Spiritual Transformation from The King’s University in Los Angeles, where he studied under Chancellor Jack Hayford.

Mike published his first book in 2011, God Things: Encounters with Jesus that Transform Us(www.amazon.com). He is an adjunct professor at Pacific Rim Christian University (formerly New Hope Christian College) in Honolulu, Hawaii where he has been teaching spiritual transformation, evangelism, and discipleship since it was established in 1998. His book elaborates on his passion for the manifest presence and personal intimacy with God.  It is also the textbook for his course.  His second book, Lightning in a Bottle: Our Odyssey to Temple the Holy Spirit, (www.amazon.com) provides practical teaching on how the Presence of His Spirit dwells within believers.

Mike has lived in Mililani, Hawaii since 1991 with his lovely wife, Mona (married in 1983), Rachael (born 1989), and youngest son, Caleb (born 1998).  Eldest son, Mark (born 1986), is married to Jalee (since 2012).
