Ho’ola Napua – Carl & Maureen King

Hoʻōla Nā Pua is a Hawaii-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide underage female victims of sex trafficking with a pu’uhonua (a safe place) where they can begin to heal from their physical, spiritual, and emotional abuse. Our goal is to provide a holistic approach to mental health, psychosocial and educational services, and emotional healing in the safety of a long-term licensed residential facility for minors rescued from sex trafficking.

Our volunteers work tirelessly, networking and collaborating with political figures, the justice system, social services, faith-based communities, state licensing institutions, foundations, health care professionals, and other community members in Hawaii who share our mission to improve the lives of these underage victims. We are an active member of the Hawaii Coalition Against Human Trafficking Task Force.

Currently, Hoʻōla Nā Pua is the only organization working to build a long-term licensed residential facility of this kind in Hawai’i.

Hands of Hope – Pastor Lori Shimabukuro
The Hands of Hope is a partnership of several churches and organizations in the Central Oahu area.  We offer hope to the homeless, poor and elderly with the love of Christ.  Our hope is that our outward expression of care for these people will lead them to a new life and transformation through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  We encourage and lead people to the one and only true hope…Jesus, while giving all glory to God.

Village of Hope – Missions Team
Compelled by a God-centered heart for orphans, Village of Hope (VOH) rescues the lives of former child soldiers, sex slaves and their younger siblings orphaned by war. VOH provides a safe haven for healing and hope for a future. This is accomplished by our feeding ministry in Gulu’s IDP camps providing food, education & counseling. Residential Villages of Hope provide physical needs, safety, medical services, a stable and loving home, life skills training, education in our schools, counseling, vocational training, Biblical discipleship and systemic solutions to epidemic poverty and hopelessness among Africa’s most vulnerable children. Our approach is designed to prepare and inspire VOH young men and women to become productive citizens, ethical leaders, and beacons for Christ within their communities and country.
